Formation of ethnic identities in the colonial period: Case study of the missions in northern New Spain

Abstrakt

The article focuses on the problem of creation of "new ethnic groups" of colonial period on the example of native groups in Northern Mexico, exposed to the missionary efforts of the Jesuit order.
