Abstract
The monograph deals with the biography of the famous Czech writer, with a special focus on her non-literary activities. In the frame of the contemporary Prague, Litomyšl, Carlsbad and Czech countryside, she is depicted as a woman, wife, mother, journalist, ethnographer and female rights activist.
