The change in burial rites in the Early Middle Ages as an issue for archaeology and cultural anthropology

Abstract

One of the first moments of this ?homogenisation of European standards? in early middle ages, associated with the rise of states and adoption of Christianity, was the abandonment of cremation. This phenomenon is methodically analyzed in the study.
