An original or an imitation? 'Syria-Palestinian imports' in the Old Kingdom Egypt

Abstract

The article deals with the vessels of typical Syria-Palestinian forms that have been excavated in the tombs of the Egyptian Old Kingdom officials. The author attempts to show that it is not necessary to rely on the chemical analyses only.

She interprets the vessels from the point of view of the social background of the officials, general political development in Egypt and their volume.
