Abstrakt
Our paper focuses on the problems of lexical morphology in French specialist texts. First we briefly mention the relation between syntax and creating words from the viewpoint of linguists in the course of the 20th century.
Further we concentrate on suffixes -tion / - ment / - age, which are used for creating nouns that express activity. Finally, we refer to neologisms created by derivation, especially with respect to the frequency of the mentioned three suffixes.
