Gogol´s The Overcoat. To the beginning of the theory and practice of the film adaptation

Abstract

The main theme dealt with in this article - based on the analysis Kozintsev-Trauberg adaptation of Gogol´s The Overcoat (1926), for which I.Tynianov wrote the script - is a contribution of Russian Formalism to the theory and practice of the film.
