Abstract
The workshop dealt with various aspects of speech communication in adverse conditions both natural and laboratory. Many aspects of signal degradation, multiple-speaker situations, environmental noises and filtering were discussed from the perspective of both speech perception and speech production (Lombard speech).
The workshop comprised talks by invited speakers, organizers and a poster session for younger scientists. An integral part of the workshop were organizational meetings of various project committees and the steering committee of the consortium.
