Genesis of the first Hospitals - Prague Brothers of Charity and Alžbětinky Hospitals

Abstract

Essencial changes in care about ill people are dating to period of Tereza's and mainly Josef's revisions. In this period were founded arrangements of the new type ? hospitals in the sense of present-day.

Main role in founding of these hospitals did hospitalers, whose hospitals were intended for male patients from the beginning of the 17th century. For female patients were founded specialized hospitals by ?Alžbětinky? in the 1719.
