Substandard elements in the contemporary Russian language and the problem of their translation into the Czech language

Abstract

This article has been written on the basis of the material collected from the ČNK ? namely from the comparative Czech-Russian corpus. It deals with the complex question of the Russian substandard. Many examples of the translation of modern Russian idioms are treated, with the intention to present mistakes of the translations and to stress the importance of working with the corpus.
