Abstract
Two idioms comprising the component "kamen" (stone) often occur in various languages. These are "kamen úrazu"and "kamen úhelný. " Those phrases are biblical terms often used in contemporary Russian language.
They retain their original meaning, but frequently they undergo transformation. Either one of their components is replaced, or the number of components is increased, or a semantic transformation occurs.
