The life after death and the immortality according to Jan Patočka

Abstract

The article first deals with Patočka's interpretation of the phaenomenon of life after death as an integral moment of the humans being's intersubjective structure. Subsequently it focuses on Patočka's interpretation of the Platonic concept of the immortality of the soul to be distinguished from the phaenomenon of the life after death.
