Abstract

The survey of the concept of bullying (mobbing in Czech context) is presented from the view of its workplace incidence in Czech Republic. The attention is paid to the explanation of terms, description of mobbing behaviors, personality of mobbing person and of a victim.

Mobbing is compared to a counterproductive work behavior, its concept and theoretical background. This concept had been earlier researched under terms like antisocial behavior at workplace, aggression, revenge, retaliation, deviance, partially also as workplace violence, mobbing, bullying, bossing, harassment or emotional abuse and so on.

Finally we focus on prevention of mobbing in organizations. We think that sociomapping and VTI may be used as useful tools for a diagnosis, prevention or treatment of mobbing behaviors.

Video training of interactions (VTI) is useful for the development of social skills.
