Some reflexions on the word-formation in Tommaso Garzoni's language

Abstract

The paper explores some word-formation aspect of T. Garzoni's (1549-1589) language, based on one of his major works, La piazza universale di tutte le professioni del mondo.

The paper shows that Garzoni makes use of the available word formation processes in the late 16th century.
