The article focuses on the teaching of Medical Latin. After describing Medical Latin, the concept of Medical Latin teaching by S.
Sedláček is explained. S.
Sedláček works with so-called structural models. The article considers the idea of whether teachers of Medical Latin should develop/improve their own knowledge of medicine.
The author explains the necessity of knowing the meaning of translated terms and term phrases. The author shows that it is useful to use original medical texts and illustrations of diseases.
