Abstract
Presented lectures were based on recently published clinical practice guidelines K/DOQI (Kidney Disease Quality Outcome Initiative), National Kidney Foundation 2007, focused on diabetic nephropathy (DN). Main topics were: definition and diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, principles of early diagnosis and therapy, including necesity of long-lasting diabetes compensation and possibilities of its achievement in diminished kidney function.
