sy ve společnostiA new form of education, the so-called 'University of the Third Age', is quickly developing at Czech Universities. This kind or programme is also organised by the Catholic Theological Faculty as a three-year course of study named 'Basics of the Catholic Religion'.
It consists of a series of lectures on theology and ecclesiastical history given during the academic year. For the last few years a considerable interest has been shown by seniors in history, which during their time at the university suffered from ideological distortion and tendentious interpretations.
The aim of the history course for seniors is therefore not only to increase their general knowledge of our history, but also to eliminate the prejudice and stereotypes presented to them at their schools in the past
