The Function of the Saints in Early Bohemian Historical Writing

Abstract

The author deals with the legends of the three major native Saints of Bohemia and their exploiting in the oldest Bohemian historical works, and comes to the conclusion that the Saints were an integral part of the regional cultural identity.
