Current approach to the treatment of simple bone cyst

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2007

Abstract

Simple bone cysts, usually affecting proximal metaphysis of the humerus and femur, are benign tumor-like lesions of uncertain etiology. The diagnosis is usually based on anamnesis, clinical examination with presence of a typical radiographic finding.

Nowadays, there is an obvious advance in treating simple bone cysts: from extensive surgical interventions to less invasive treatment methods.
