Abstract
The nationwide basic textbook of pathology was published after publishing the last of Bednář´s textbooks more than a quarter of a century ago. This modern textbook of pathology of our foremost authors is intended primarily for undergraduate education.
The structure and extent of the text are in agreement with current syllabi of pathology instruction for students of medical higher education. The expanded edition of the text and especially the rich pictoral documentation may serve both practicing doctors and students of postgraduate education.
