Abstract
The authors assess the importance of lateral sinus lift in current implantology. They prefer a variant of the surgical protocol that minimizes the surgical and financial burdens for the patient.
In addition they provide comments on contraindications and describe the most frequently occuring complications. After comparing it with alternative procedures, they concluded that Lateral Sinus Lift, despite having some disadvantages, is the most effective method for implantation into dorsal parts of the maxilla.
