The living-donor renal transplantation is the safe therapeutical method for a chronical renal failure. From a recipients point of view is more successful in compare to a cadaveric kidney transplantation.
It has better short term and especially long term results. From a donor point of view this operation isn´t associated with a high risk, even during long term follow up of a donor.
The nephrectomy is performed using modern surgical methods, including the laparoscopic approach. The quality of the donor life is decreased in a short period after the operation only.
