Abstract

Liver arterial infusion may be an effective treatment in rare cases of isolated metastatic affliction of the liver due to stomach cancer. The prognosis is significantly better in patients with an objective response, in patients with H1 or H2 metastases and those treated by antracyclines.

A longer survival rate for patients in reports that refer only to 1 or 2 cases is evidence of the selective publication of positive results, and it is the most serious limitation of the carried out analysis.
