Abstract
Asthma bronchiale is a chronic inflammatory airway disease associated with airflow obstruction and bronchial hyperresponsiveness. Most of the patient with mild-to moderate asthma respons to standard therapy according to guidelines very well.
But there is a group of approx. 5 % of asthmatic where the achievement of sufficient therapeutic response despite considerable therapeutic effort is not possible. Cross-sectional European multicentre study ENFUMOSA solved severe asthma phenotype distinction in comparison with well controled disease. : severe asthma, fixed bronchial obstruction, inuced sputum
