Abstract
Pain is in sclerosis multiplex (SM) common symptom, whose prevalence is by various authors determined from 53 to 82 %. In 5 to 11 % it is described as co-called initial symptom.
More frequently it occurs in the patients with splasticity and longer persistence of SM. It has no relationship to neither the grade of disability or to the time of manifestation of SM.
It occurs more in elder patients, more frequently in women.
