Abstract
Relation of pain and quality of life in children has not been studied in detail yet. Our survey study is divided into three parts.
In the first one we give the contemporary understanding of pain in children and its connection to related terms as nociception, suffering and painful situation. The second part of the study concentrates on quality of life in children.
The third part of the study maps wider social context of pain in children.
