The study presents the cross-cultural/multi-cultural model of nursing care and Madeleine Leininger as one of the promoters. The presented case report of a female patient from a different community shows concrete possibilities of model application in nursing practice.
Hereby it aims at a cross-cultural nursing model by means of authentic dialogue and physical examination of patients to utilize the structure of the conceptual nursing model for the basic framework for the taking of anamneses by nurses. It concerns deliberate, systematic procedures during data acquisition and on the basis of these data a nurse or a midwife analyses the needs of patients from different cultures (possibly from his/her family, community).
The procedures correspond to the specified theoretic framework of a selected conceptual model. On the basis of knowledge it gives the diagnosis and schedules for adequate nursing interventions.
