Percutaneous kyphoplasty in tretment of osteoporotic fractures of thoracolumbal spine

Abstract

Aim. To evaluate the role of percutaneous kyphoplasty in the therapeutic algorithm of osteoporotic fractures of thoracolumbal spine.

Conclusion. Our results suggest that percutaneous kyphoplasty is an effective procedure for treatment of painful compressive fractures, with better kyphotic angle correction than in percutaneous vertebroplasty.
