Abstract

Acute mesenteric ischemia is an emerging condition caused by occlusion of visceral arteries or veins. Early invervention to prevent development of irreversible ischemic changes of the splanchnic organs is required for optimal outcome.

We report a novel technique of percutaneous transcatheter thromboaspiration in the treatment of acute mesenteric ischemia.
