Abstract
The book is an extended monograph on Karel Rokitanský from the year 1954, with lectures, papers, and scenarios for the exhibition to the 200th anniversary of Karel Rokitanský´s birth in Hradec Králové. It continues old traditions initiated by professors Eduard Albert, Jan Bohumil Eiselt and Vítězslav Janovský together with progressive Czech doctors and representatives of the town Hradec Králové in the year 1879.
It should remind readers of the scientific and cultural merits of Rokitanský in medicine and social development and to keep them in memory for the future.
