Obstruction of the airways in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2004

Abstract

A limitation of the expiratory airflow rate in patients suffering from primary pulmonary hypertension has been often found (up to 80%), its severity being most often of mild degree. The cause of this phenomenon is not known.

In some cases a partial reversibility of this obstruction after inhaled ß 2-mimetics was observed. The authors present the results of lung function investigation in 4 patients with primary pulmonary hypertension.
