Abstract

The purpose of the project is development of intuitive arm for holding of endoscope in endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses, scull base and for intracranial paraendoscopic surgery. The technical part was made by partners in PICO project, technical firms and technical research institutes 4 SMEs from 4 countries develop mechanical construction, motor drives, instruments and visualisation. 3 Research institutions from 2 countries to carry out basic research and developments in the field of construction and system integration, software development and human interface design. 4 Hospitals located in 3 countries incl.

Hradec Králové they are promoters of the project. They contribute to the technical development and last year performed experimental study of the system on the bony specimens - mobility of the arm with endoscope, aplication in the area of the paranasal sinuses and scullbase.
