Abstract
The conference was devoted to actual problems and news in the diagnosis and treatment of selected endocrine diseases: Hyperparathyroidism, secondary osteoporosis, evaluation of bone mineral density in children, treatment of testicular maldescensus in children, male hypogonadism, humoral regulation of food intake and ethiopathogenesis of obesity, endocrine related ophtalmopathy, polycistic ovary syndrome, hormonal replacement therapy in the menopause, hirsutism and alopetia. Renato Cozzi from Milan, Italy. The problems of screening functional thyroid disorders in selected people and endocrine functional tests were discussed. The programme focused to less common topics such as to the time system and pineal gland, hypo- and hypernatraemia from the endocrinologist's point of view, diencephalic syndromes, phytosteroids.
The third day has been devoted to casuistics presented by course attendees.
