Myocardial content of selected elements in experimental anthracycline-induced cardiomyopathy in rabbits

Abstract

In this study, it was shown that chronic anthracycline cardiotoxicity is accompanied by elevation of calcium content in the left ventricular myocardium. Dexrazoxane (a cardioprotectant) prevented heart dysfunction and calcium overload.
