What the mortal parts of the soul really are

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2005

Abstract

The paper examines the account of the mortal parts of the human soul in the Timaeus of Plato. What is their nature? What is their relationship to the immortal part of the soul? Are they incorporeal or corporeal? What kind of movement do they have? In what sense precisely are they 'another kind of soul' (Tim. 69c7)?
