Abstract
A collection of papers presented to Prof. Libuše Dušková on the anniversary of her seventy-fifth birthday.
The twenty-four papers were contributed by the leading figures of the English linguistics in the Czech Republic, as well as the younger generation researchers. They cover a broad range of topics, including historical linguistics, phonetics, syntax, lexicology, discourse analysis, or some aspects of translation.
