Abstract
The book brings together a number of original contributions and translations of texts which deal with the modal discourse. Its main objective is to give a basic survey of the field, ranging from the problems of language analysis of modalitites through the pure formal, technical questions of modal logic and its semantic to modal realistic account of them.
The work can also be used as a textbook in advanced courses in both philosophy and logic.
