Abstract

Analysis and intepretation of Les Alpes (1732), a descriptive poem by the Swiss author Albrecht de Haller. The approach focuses on the representation of the mountains, its mythologization, relations to classical literature (Vergil) and contemporary ethical and ideological discourses.
