Dental caries and its prevention in early childhood

Abstract

Early childhood caries (ECC) is the currently accepted term to describe a caries in infants and toddlers.It is an infectious and transmissible disease. ECC is more prevalent in minority racial, cultural, ethnic, and in lowincome, communities, and in medically compromised children.
