How severe acidosis can a human survive? Successful hemofiltration use

Abstract

We are presenting a case report of a severe metformin-associated lactic acidosis in a patient with chronic renal insufficiency and acute infection. Severe acidosis was associated with vasoplegic shock.

CVVH was the cornerstone of the treatment.
