Abstract

This paper treats the beginning of the political career of the Yugoslav Cominformist Functionary Anton Rupnik. He was a French communist of Slovene origin, who was installed in the autumn of 1949 to the leader's position in the Émigré's Organisation in Prague.

On the individual case it is tried to present some questions solved by the communist movement in the 40ties, especially the dilemma raised by the Tito-Stalin split in the 1948.
