On Kantorovich's result on the symmetry of Dini derivatives

Abstract

We prove a result on the symmetry of Dini derivatives of arbitrary real functions of one real variable which is a joint generalization of Kantorovich's result from 1932 and of a result of L. Zajíček from 1981.
