The aim was to examine the changes in the execution of shot put standing throw and javelin standing throw after four months of intensive training as part of heptathlon preparation. The initial testing included the testing of general strength prerequisites and somatic measurements were taken.
Attained performances were noted in tables, the performances of the throws were recorded on video and sequences were made. The assessment composed of expert analysis and comparison.
Majority of athletes had improved only slightly with regards to the observed parametres of technique, the level of performance improved most with the athletes of highest general strength prerequisites. Therefore it appears that at this age, the performance is influnced more by strengthe prerequisites than the level of technique.
