Abstract
The article offers a survey of urban history in the context of Czech historiography and social sciences in the last twenty years, and simultaneously the author offers through a collective interview the opinions of five other colleagues, established experts and junior researchers in the field (Blanka Soukupová, Jaroslav Miller, Andrea Pokludová, Slavomíra Ferenčuhová, and Jaroslav Ira).
