Abstract

The publication is devoted to unique archival materials – Jarník´s mathematical notebook containing a record of the lecture course given by P.S. Aleksandrov in Göttingen.

Detailed mathematical, historical and bibliographical comments providing a picture of the development of mathematics in the thirties of the 20th century is given.
