Abstract
The town Velké Bílovice near Břeclav has its distinguished natives. The most famous of them is the lecturer of English language at the Charles University in Prague Antonín Osička (1888-1949), there also were born the poet František Bařina (1903-1935) and the painter Bohumil Košábek (1890-1960).
