The article deals with importance of movement for men’s physical and psychological health in the preamble part. It is addressed to the problems of self concept, self evaluation, physical self and the possibility for improvement in the theory.
The aim of research „Body image as a part of active life style“ was to learn about the importance and satisfaction mass with particular aspects of physical and psychological self and degree of felt control and opportunity for change. 1635 persons in age 18-60 years were interviewed (866 women, 769 men), 48% were active in sport and 52% were passive. The results show that the self concept is determined mostly by belonging to sex and by mass of movement in the men’s week regime.
The analysis of attitudes and evaluation acknowledged the signification of sport for satisfaction with the own appearance, health, functionality and efficiency of body.
