Abstract
The text focuses on adults with dyslexia and their status in the society. This group is currently rather marginalized in the Czech society and there are nearly no professional institutions where adults with dyslexia can ask for help.
The article is based on outcomes of an international project which The Czech Republic participated in. The aim of the project was an exchange of experiences and examples of good practice concerning adults with dyslexia.
The text further pays attention to traditional dyslexic symptoms in the adulthood, and possible methods of assessment, treatment, and counselling. Finally the article attempts to emphasize the meaning of such work with adults with dyslexia and presents various possibilities of further development in this field, esp. in The Czech Republic.
