Abstract
The article deals with the immigration to Great Britain in the 1950s and 1960s with a focus on the situation in London. The specific problems of "coloured immigrants" connected with racial prejudices are described here - the everyday life of the immigrants as well as the development of hostility and cosequences of the riots.
