Abstract
This chapter discusses the functionalities the Library 2.0 shall deliver with the focus on 3-D library service and analyses the assumptions for the establishing of the long term user community from the wider historical perspective. The concept of the 3-D Virtual Library, realized in 2004 for the University of Constance Library is compared against the actual 3-D library concepts.
