Abstract

The increase of the proportion of incomplete families is one of the most significant tendencies within family behaviour at the turn of the 20th and 21st century. It seems that presence of children in the family does not represent an obstacle to end relationship any more.

Results of a qualitative research focused on single mothers show that one of the most important sources of conflicts in partner coexistence is the division of household cares between partners which does not correspond to the extent of female participation at the labour market.
